A Wombwell Presentation.
In appreciation of his services as lecturer the Mitchell Main Colliery Ambulance Class have made a presentation to their lecturer, Pr. W. C. Jardine. This little ceremony was performed at the Half Way House Hotel, on Saturday. The presentation was made by Mr G. A. Sellars, manager of the Mitchell Main Colliery, who warmly congratulated Dr. Jardine on the fact that in a recent examination the class achieved a hundred per cent success. By voluntary effort and personal example Dr. Jardine has given great encouragement to the development of first aid work in the Wombwell district and the token thus paid him will be endorsed by all classes.
Dr. Jardine is an honorary surgeon of the Becket Hospital, Barnsley, and a former member of the Wombwell Urban District Council.
