Guy Wharton (Broomhill Rangers) has played some wonderful games this season and is considered a second Wilf Copping.
Broomhill, who are having a record season, owe a great deal to this youngster. He has never played with another club except the village team. He is most useful at right-half. Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and Wolverhampton have all had him watched and his promotion to better-class football is regarded as a certainty.
Wharton places the ball well and never gets flurried. He is 17 years of age stands 5ft. 11ins. and weighs 11st 3lbs.
