A County Boy
If there is a player of whom Wombwell are expecting great things, it is their new centre of, Arthur Hepworth.
The expectations were strengthened by his skilful work in a trial game on Saturday. Hepworth is only just out of his ‘teens, hut he has already had valuable experience with Barnsley and Nelson.
Wombwell, indeed, were lucky to get hold of him, for am told that immediately after he handed to Mr. Cutts his signed form he receivel a rather interesting communication from Mr. Commins, the former Barnsley manager, now with Southport.
Hudson has learned his football from the primary stage, so to speak, for he was a Yorkshire County Schools player. He attended Keresforth Road School, Barnsley, and lives in that district.
