Families Service to the Church

This little Family Group Represents 120 year’s service in church and Sunday School. John Davison (seated left) is the superintendent of the Sunday School of the United Methodist Church at Wombwell. His son, Mr. John William. Davison (standing) is organist, and a stepson choirmaster of the same church.

At the age of 77 Mr. John Davison still performs his duties regularly. He was first elected an official of the church 41 years ago, and for 36 years has been superintendent of the Sunday School. His son, Mr. John W. Davison, has been organist for 36 years and his step-son, Mr. Edward Lawrence, has been a worker in the Sunday School in one capacity or another for 46 years, including, 30 years as choir master and assistant superintendent.

All three have been awarded the diploma, of honour presented by the National Sunday School Union for long service.
