Novel Feature of the Wombwell Hospital Demonstration.

Two tiny pit ponies from the Mitchell Main Colliery figured in the annual hospital demonstration at Wombwell yesterday. The ponies were very successful as collectors in the streets of the town.

The demonstration was centred the park.

The principal speakers were Mr. G. H. Hirst (M.P. for the Wentworth Division), Councillor J. Pascoe (Wombwell), and Councillor H. Cassells (Barnsley).

The ceremony in the park was preceded by a procession through the town. Taking part in the procession were the Wombwell and Mexborough Fire Brigades.
