Pte. George Moore, Gower street, Wombwell, was killed in action on Oct 5, in France.

He had been in France ten months, and was an expert machine gunner. He was wounded and gassed last July.

He was well known and esteemed in Wombwell, and was a teacher at the Wesleyan Sunday School.
