“My Brother Minister.”

Bishop Assists Pastor at Joint Service at Wombwell.

Christian unity was happily expressed at Wombwell last night, when the Bishop of Sheffield preached at a corporate religious service. The Bishop spoke from the bandstand in the park, and around him were disposed the members of the Salvation Army band.

The Rev. Roland Hill, Congregational pastor, whom the Bishop referred to as “my brother minister,” conducted the service, assisted by the Rev. S. T. G. Smith, Rector of Wombwell.

Ten different religious denominations were represented at the service. There was large crowd present. In the course of his address the Rev, R. Hill said: Better have religious differences than religious indifferences.”
