Another Briggs

Another Briggs has appeared in the football firmament at Wombwell.

This is the Hemingfield schoolboy centre half, Arthur Briggs, who has gained a place in the county team to play against Durham at Selby on Saturday.

Briggs lives at Lundhill, and attended Hemingfield Church of England school. He is strong and sturdily built, and plays with dash and vigour for every minute of the game. His ball control is splendid.

Hemingfield and Lundhill people are delighted at his selection.
