Barnburgh Heat Complaint
Three Faces on Strike
A dispute which affected three faces in the Barnsley and Parkgate Seams at Barnburgh Main Colliery affected output in No. 3 Area of the North-Eastern Divisional Coal Board last week.
The men complained of heat and did not work on Thursday and Friday. The dispute cut output at the pit by 1,100 tons.
Area output of 138,526 tons was a decrease of 616 tons on the previous week. Two pits passed their targets: Aldwarke and New Stubbin.
