Wedding: Skidmore & Jenkinson

Miss Mary Jenkinson, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkinson, 1, Melton Avenue, Brampton, was married at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday by the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney, to Mr. Albert Skidmore, second Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Skidmore, 12, Windmill Road, Wombwell.

The organist was Mr. J. Harrington. The bride wore white ring velvet and carried deep red roses. She was attended by Misses Sylvia Jenkinson and Emily Skidmore in floral voile and carrying pink chrysanthemums. Two small attendants, Eva Jenkinson and Eunice Skidmore, were in foxglove.

The best man was Mr. William Skidmore and the groomsman Mr. Wesley Wilks. A reception at the Sir George’s Hotel was attended by about 50 guests. Among the gifts was an eiderdown from Mr. Charles Hitchinson (Barnsley), in whose service the bride had been employed for over two years.
