Wedding: Ashton & Thompson
At Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday, Miss Ivy Thompson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Thompson, 38, Summer Lane, Wombwell, was married to Mr. Samuel Ashton, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ashton, 13, Station Road, Wombwell, the Rev. J. St. Leger Blakeney officiating.
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. F. Thompson, and wore pale blue georgette and carried white carnations. Her attendants were Mrs. Perkins in pale blue georgette, and Dorothy and Zoe Clerke in white silk, all carrying chrysanthemums.
The best man was Mr. Walter Thompson. and the groomsman Mr. William Thompson.
