Wombwell Main Cricket Club A.G.M.
At the annual meeting of the Wombwell Main club last week-end a small loss was recorded on last year’s working. It was decided to run a knock-out competition in order to raise funds. It was stated all last year’s players were available and several prominent newcomers were expected.
Mr. Arthur Utley (scorer) was congratulated on qualifying as an umpire in the South Yorkshire League . A vote of thanks was accorded the auditors. Messrs. R. Charlesworth and J. Feiryman.
Officials elected were: President: Mr. G. Snell; Secretary, Mr. Harry Uttley; Financial secretary: Mr. Horace Uttley; First team captain: H. Ottewell; Vice-captain: Wm H. Coulthard; Second team captain: F. Pepper; Vice-captain: W. Auty; Scorer;: E. Dyer and S. Stuart; Delegates: H. Uttley and A. Uttley.
