Wedding – Grant & Waterhouse
Interest was aroused in Wombwell business circles on Thursday, when the wedding took place at the Parish Church, of Miss Edith Marian Grant, eldest daughter of Mr, and Mr, George Grant, of 11 Barnsley Rd, Wombwell, to Mr Eddie Waterhouse only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Waterhouse, 19, Park Grove, Barnsley.
The bride is well known as the proprietors of a hairdressing establishment, and the bridegroom is in the motor business in Barnsley. There was a large attendance at the ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore cream crêpe suede with veil and coronet of orange blossom.
The bridesmaids, Mrs Sylvia and Eileen Dook, wore pale blue velvet with black hats.
The best man was Mr George Haig and the three groomsmen were Messrs Vincent, Raymond and Colin Grant, brothers of the bride.
The rector of Wombwell officiated after a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, the couple left for a honeymoon at Blackpool.
