Pte. J. Fowler (Wombwell) and Miss D. Coldwell (Low Valley)
Miss Dorys Coldwell, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coldwell, of 86, George Street, Low Valley, was married by licence at Darfield Parish Church on Saturday to Pte. James Fowler, E.Y, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Fowler. of 211, Snowden Terrace. Wombwell.
Given away by her brother, Mr. Fred Coldwell, the bride wore a heavily embroidered picture dress in net, her veil falling from a coronet of orange blossom and forming a train, which was carried by Julie Coldwell and June Furr.
These two were in lemon organdie and bad muffs and Dresden hats. There was one other attendant, Mrs. Wray, in blue taffeta with shoulder veil and head-dress of blue dowers.
Best man was Mr. Leonard Fowler and groomsmen Messrs. Geoffrey Coldwell and Stanley Crabtree.
The conveyances for this wedding were provided by Messrs. M. Charlesworth and Son, private car and taxi proprietors. 3, York Street. Wombwell (Phone Wombwell 83).
