Wombwell Get a Point From Rotherham Town.

Rotherham Town met Wombwell in blustering weather at Clifton Lane last night, a crowd of about 2,000 being attracted.

Rotherham had the benefit of the wind in the first half, and scored through Cutts. A stout defence prevented further goal-getting. Although the home side had more of the play than their opponents, Wombwell moved with better understanding, and on two occasions Godfrey, the home goalkeeper, was fortunate in keeping his charge clear. Wombwell exerted a good deal of pressure after the change of ends, their right wing being particularly dangerous. The finishing was, however, generally weak.

The match was almost over when Wombwell equalised, Foxall rushing in and putting the ball through. The result was a fair reflex of the form displayed.
