The best game of the season was witnessed at Central Avenue, yesterday, when Worksop Town increased their lead in the Midland League by defeating Wath Athletic by the only goal, scored by the centre-forward, Charlesworth, who played a splendid game throughout.

It was obtained after 35 minutes, following good play by Banks and Lambe. The honours of the game went to Topham in the Wath goal, who saved his side time after time. In the second half he made two superlative saves from Charlesworth when the latter had beaten all the other opposition. Brown made ciao great save from Hargreaves as the ball was going into the net.
