Believed Prisoner.

Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Noble, of Hough Lane, Wombwell, have received through Red Cross sources news that their son, Pte Ernest Noble (24), is a prisoner of war, and they are now anxiously awaiting the official intimation.

He has been missing since June 4. Pte.

Noble went to John Street Schools, Wombwell, and prior to the war was employed at Beatson Clark’s Glass Works, Stairfoot.

He joined up in April, 1940, and was drafted to the Middle East in May of last year.

His brother Stanley (34) is in the Royal Tank Corps in England.
