Father’s Big Pie.

Son of the man who cooked Wombwell’s mammoth pie for a festival some years ago, Gunner James Edward Rowe ( 32 ), of 25, Queen Street, New Scarborough, Wombwell, has now been serving in the Army for seven months.

He is well known among local pigeon fanciers and was a member of Station Road (Wombwell) F.C. Formerly employed at Darfield Main Colliery, Gunner Rowe is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Rowe. He is married and has three children. His father was an Army cook in the last war.
