Wants His Revenge

Not satisfied with being bombed while on a journey from the South of England to Yorkshire, an experience which cost him the whole of his personal luggage, Donald Pratt (18), son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Pratt, of 28, Broomhead Road, Wombwell, has joined the Royal Air Force, perhaps with the idea of getting his own back on the Luftwaffe.

Pratt was working at a boot factory at the time of the adventure mentioned, and was on his way home for a holiday.

He volunteered last November and was called up in January.

Pratts’ father served with the Leicestershire Regiment in France and Mesopotamia during the last war.
