Went Early
One of the earliest recruits from Broomhill was Pte. W. Hudson, of 124, Cortonwood Cottages. He joined the York and Lancaster Regiment in December, 1939, and has served a good spell in the North.
He was formerly employed as a bricklayer by a Wombwell firm of builders.
He wishes his friends to }mow that he is “in the pink* and thoroughly enjoying Army life.
